Favorites, pinned tabs, folders and Today

Flecha’s sidebar has three kinds of tabs. Where a tab lives decides what closing it does.

Where Closing it
Favorites The icons at the top, the same in every Space Unloads it and sends it back to its saved address
Pinned tabs Under the favorites, per Space, with folders Unloads it and sends it back to its pinned address
Today The list below, per Space Archives it

The close button says Unload tab on favorites and pinned tabs, and Close tab on Today tabs. Middle-click also closes.

Drag a tab:

  • to the favorites bar to make it a favorite,
  • into the pinned list, or onto a folder, to pin it,
  • into Today, or onto New Tab, to unpin it,
  • onto the page to open it in split view.

When a tab becomes pinned or a favorite, its current address becomes the one it returns to. If you’ve wandered off, right-click it and choose Go Back to Pinned URL.

  • Create one with New Folder in the Space’s right-click menu. It’s added at the end of the pinned list.
  • Double-click a folder’s name to rename it. Click it to open or close it.
  • Drag tabs onto it to file them.
  • To delete a folder, use Settings › Tabs & Spaces. Flecha asks whether to keep its tabs or delete them too.

Every tab you open from the command bar starts in Today. Today tabs archive themselves when you haven’t used them for a while:

  • 12 hours by default; change it in Settings › Tabs › Archive Today tabs after to 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or Never,
  • the tab you’re looking at is never archived,
  • Clear next to the Today heading, or ⇧⌘K, archives all of this Space’s Today tabs now.

The archive keeps the last 500 tabs. Find them by typing in the command bar: they show up under Archive. ⇧⌘T reopens the newest one.

Right-click a tab for: Open in Split View, Copy Link, Copy as Markdown Link, Rename…, Duplicate, Open in Flechinha, Pin Tab, Add to Favorites, Move to Space, Reload, Mute Tab, Go Back to Pinned URL and Close Tab. Today tabs also have Close Tabs Below and Close Other Tabs.

Shortcuts for all of these are in Keyboard shortcuts.
