The short version
- The Flecha app does not collect, send or sell any information about you. There is no account and no Flecha server.
- Your tabs, Spaces, history, settings and Boosts are files on your Mac.
- When you browse, you talk to the websites you visit and to the services you choose, under their own policies.
- This website is a static site. It may count visits in aggregate; this page will always say how.
1. Who we are
Flecha is an open-source web browser for macOS, maintained by OPrimoDev. In this policy, “Flecha”, “we” and “us” mean the project and its maintainer. The source code is public at github.com/lucianodiisouza/flecha-browser.
2. The Flecha app
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no account. It does not send your browsing history, your tabs or any identifier to us. We have no servers that could receive them.
What stays on your Mac
Flecha keeps its data in your Flecha profile folder and in ~/.flecha: tabs, Spaces, favorites, history, downloads list, settings, keyboard shortcuts, cookies and site data, and your Boosts. You can back up, move or delete these files at any time. Deleting them, or uninstalling Flecha, removes the data.
Connections the app makes
Like any browser, Flecha connects to the internet on your behalf. These connections go to third parties, not to us:
- Websites you visit, and the resources they load.
- Your search engine, when you search from the command bar. You choose it in Settings.
- Site icons, which Flecha fetches from the sites in your sidebar.
- The Chrome Web Store and extension updates, for extensions you install. Each extension has its own privacy policy.
- Blocker list updates for the built-in ad and tracker blocker.
- Services built into Chromium, such as Safe Browsing or component updates, according to Chromium's defaults and your settings.
- Google or other accounts, only if you sign in to them. Those providers' policies apply.
- GitHub, when you download Flecha or an update from GitHub Releases.
Importing from other browsers
When you import, Flecha reads bookmarks, history and, for Arc, your sidebar from files on your Mac. The data is copied into your Flecha profile and never leaves your computer.
Coding agents (MCP)
The MCP bridge is off by default. When you turn it on, it listens only on 127.0.0.1 and requires a token. Agents you connect, such as Claude Code or Cursor, can read and act on your tabs. What those agents do with that information, including sending it to their AI providers, is governed by those tools and providers. Only connect agents you trust, and turn the bridge off when you don't need it.
Boosts and extensions
Boosts are code you write or install. Extensions are made by third parties. Both run in pages you visit and can read them. Review what you install.
3. This website
flecha.dev is a static website. We do not ask for or store any personal information through it, and it sets no cookies of its own.
- Hosting. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser and the page requested, for security and operations.
- Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when you open it.
- Analytics. We may use analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit and which pages they read. If we do, we will name the provider and what it collects in this section, prefer tools that do not use cookies, and never use the data for advertising or sell it.
- Links. Links to GitHub and other sites take you to services with their own policies.
4. Children
Flecha is a general-purpose tool and is not directed to children. Since we collect no personal data, we hold none about children.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as Brazil's LGPD or the EU's GDPR give you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because the app keeps your data only on your Mac, you exercise most of these rights directly by managing your Flecha profile. For anything related to this website, contact us as described below.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. The full history of changes is public in the website's repository.
7. Contact
